MOM'S APPLESAUCE CAKE 
12 whole graham crackers
2 c. applesauce
1 sm. tub whipped topping, softened
Maraschino cherries

Place 1 graham cracker on a plate and spread with a layer of applesauce. Top with another graham cracker. Continue layering crackers and applesauce until all graham crackers are used, ending with a graham cracker as the top layer. Spread top and sides with whipped topping, covering completely. Garnish with cherries. Refrigerate for several hours or overnight. Cut crosswise into 1/2 inch slices to serve.
