4 c. flour
2 c. shortening
2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. sugar
1 egg
1/2 c. water
1 tbsp. vinegar

Mix dry ingredients in bowl. Mix remaining ingredients in different bowl. Add second bowl to first and mix thoroughly.
