BARBECUED RIBS 
3 lb. pork or beef ribs
3/4 c. ketchup or tomato sauce
3/4 c. water
2 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. vinegar
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 onions, sliced
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper

Sprinkle meat with salt and pepper. Brown well on both sides in Dutch oven or heavy skillet. While meat is browning, make up sauce with all the other ingredients. Pour over ribs. Cover and bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Baste frequently. Meat is done when fork pierces easily. Remove lid the last 20 to 30 minutes of cooking time.
