ITALIAN SPAGHETTI WITH MEAT
SAUCE
 
1 1/2 tbsp. butter
1 med. onion, chopped
1 lb. hamburger
1 1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 lb. grated cheese
2 1/2 c. tomatoes
1 c. water
1/3 c. tomato paste of catsup
3/4 lb. spaghetti

Heat heavy skillet with the butter, add onion and brown lightly. Add hamburger, stir constantly to keep separated. Add salt and tomatoes, which have been rubbed through a sieve. Add water and tomato paste. Cover and simmer 30-40 minutes. Cook spaghetti; drain. Heap on hot platter. Pour hot meat sauce over spaghetti. Sprinkle with cheese. 5 servings.
