They tasted good, but boy are they hard to mix! I broke 2 mixing spoons! And f.y.i..... don't use peanut m&ms... they are too hard to keep in the cookies but very tasty!

You can vary ingredients like crunchy peanut butter, raisins, different nuts, etc. but never, never, every omit the karo syrup!! they won't stick together! I'd add a tsp of it to the small batch. They are a great thing for hikes or long days at work... just be sure to drink water along with them. They store great in freezer.

I love these i make them all the time and they disappear so quickly but I'd add more M&Ms and chocolate chips

These cookies are easy to make for all ages! Three of us girls made these amazing cookies today ranging 11-21 years of age! All of us helped and enjoyed the process! Since we love candy, we put in 3 times as much candy as recommended, varying in peanut butter and regular m&m's and chocolate chips! We would recommended adding more candy then the recipe!
cookies turned out great, and don't forget to have a tall glass of milk next to you when eating!

Great recipe...reminded me of my childhood! I too added a tsp of corn syrup and increased the candy/chocolate to 2 1/2 to 3 c. but I also added butterscotch chips to the mix. I make these and send them to the men and women stationed overseas and they absolutely LOVE them!

We use to make these in the child class I took at school. Big time hit with the kids and they parents. Will have to make them with my son as soon as I can get him not to eat all the m&ms!

Made the littler batch tonight with son, tried the spoon, didn't work good so we used are hands and rolled them into balls and then flattened them. Great turn out, even my mom who isn't one for sweet stuff loved them and my son had fun mixing and making them!

I have made these cookies years and years ago, it is an old Mennonite recipe in a book by Edna Staebler, in the Waterloo region of Ontario. The Mennonite ladies cleaned out their sinks, and made them in the sink, easier to mix!! I actually used a 3 gallon pail with an electric drill with a mixer on the end!! Then, I froze several dozen on cookie sheets (before cooking). Each day, before boys (4 of them) got off the bus, I baked a dozen fresh!! It worked great! Good luck!!
