3/4 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. milk
1 c. nuts
1 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
Salt

Roll the stiff paste into small balls and bake to golden brown and roll in powdered sugar or dip in egg white and nuts before baking.
