FRUIT CAKE COOKIES 
2 sticks butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
3 c. chopped nuts
8 oz. candied cherries
8 oz. candied pineapple
1 box chopped dates (optional)

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, then other ingredients. Use some of the flour to coat fruit. Add fruit last. Drop by teaspoonfuls on cookie sheet.

Bake at 350°F for 10 minutes.
