BAKED CHICKEN AND RICE 
1-2 lb. chicken, cut in serving pieces
1/4 lb. butter
1 c. long cooking rice
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can cream of celery soup
Salt & Pepper to taste
1 c. grated American cheese

Place cut chicken on bottom of casserole baking dish. Salt and pepper. Melt butter, add rice, coat rice with butter, add can of celery soup and chicken soup, mix well. Pour over chicken. Cover dish with lid or foil. Bake in 350 degree oven for 2 hours. Uncover last 10 minutes. Sprinkle with grated cheese just before serving.
