INDIAN PUDDING 
1 1/2 c. milk
1/3 c. molasses
1/3 c. cornmeal
3 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. milk

Combine milk and molasses in saucepan and heat until warm. In separate bowl, combine cornmeal, sugar, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Gradually stir into warm milk mixture. Add butter. Put on low heat, stirring constantly. Cook until thickened, about 10 minutes. Pour into greased 1-quart baking dish. Pour 1/2 cup milk over pudding. Do not stir. Bake for 3 hours at 300 degrees. Serve hot with ice cream.
