YAM CANDY 
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. evaporated milk
1/2 stick butter
1 c. chopped pecans
1/2 c. cooked mashed yams
1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 tbsp. marshmallow creme

Bring sugar, milk and butter to a boil for 2-3 minutes. Add pecans and yams. Cook until it starts to sugar. Remove from fire and add vanilla and marshmallow creme. Beat until candy looses gloss. Pour into buttered dish and cut into small squares. Makes approximately 42 pieces.
