BEST CHOCOLATE CAKE 
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. water
3/4 c. buttermilk
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
4 oz. melted unsweetened chocolate

To make buttermilk, mix 1 tablespoon of vinegar with 3/4 cup milk. Let sit 10 minutes.

Grease and flour tube pan or 2 (9 inch) cake pans. Measure all ingredients in large bowl and blend 1/2 minute on low speed, scraping bowl. Beat 3 minutes on high speed, then pour into pans. Bake layers 30 to 35 minutes and tube pan 40 to 45 minutes at 350 degrees. For a special treat, put 1 can of cherry pie filling between layers and frost with Mom's Flour Frosting.
