DIRT CAKE 
1 lg. pkg. chocolate sandwich cookies
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1/2 c. butter
1 c. powdered sugar
1 (9 oz.) carton whipped topping
2 (3 1/2 oz.) pkg. instant French vanilla pudding
3 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Crush cookies and put half of crumbs in a 9x13 inch pan. Mix cream cheese and butter until smooth, with a mixer. Fold in powdered sugar and then whipped topping.

In a separate bowl, mix pudding and milk and vanilla together. Fold cream cheese mixture and pudding mixture together and pour into pan with the cookie crumbs over the top. You may use whipping cream instead of topping for a richer dessert.

This may be frozen or chilled well to slice and serve.
