DUTCH APPLE DESSERT | |
5 med. all-purpose apples, pared, cored & sliced (about 5 c.) 1 (14 oz.) can Eagle Brand condensed milk (not evaporated) 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/3 c. + 2 tbsp. cold butter 1 1/2 c. biscuit mix 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar 1/2 c. chopped nuts In medium bowl, combine apples, condensed milk and cinnamon. In large bowl cut 1/2 cup butter into 1 cup biscuit mix until crumbly. Stir in apple mixture. Pour into greased 9" square pan. In small bowl, combine remaining 1/2 cup biscuit mix and sugar. Cut in remaining 2 tablespoons butter until crumbly. Add nuts and sprinkle over apple mixture. Bake 1 hour in 325 degree oven. |
