EASY NEVER - FAIL PASTRY 
1 c. vegetable shortening
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. boiling water
3 c. all-purpose flour

Cream shortening with boiling water until well mixed by hand or electric mixer. Add salt and flour all at once, mix. Form into a ball; chill covered, at least one hour. Bake at 450 degrees for 15 minutes for a single crust. Yields pastry for 2 shells or a top and bottom.
