EASY "FLAKY" PASTRY 
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. peanut oil
Cold milk
3/4 c. shortening, chilled well
1 tbsp. sugar
1 egg

Sift flour, salt and sugar into a large bowl. Cut in shortening and peanut oil to the size of small peas. Beat egg in measuring cup and add enough milk to make a scant 1/3 cup. Pour into flour mixture; stir with fork only enough to make dough. Do not knead! Roll out on lightly floured pastry canvas or board. Makes enough for two pastry shells.
