FOOL PROOF PIE CRUST 
4 c. flour
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 3/4 c. shortening
1/2 c. water
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 lg. egg

In large bowl, stir together flour, sugar and salt with fork. Add shortening with fork until crumbly. (Do not use refrigerated shortening, oil or butter.)

In another bowl, beat together water, vinegar and egg. Add to flour mixture and stir until all ingredients are moistened. Divide dough in 5 portions and shape each in round patty. Wrap each in plastic wrap and chill for at least 30 minutes. Dough may be frozen.

Lightly flour dough when ready to use. To bake shell, prick bottom and sides of dough and bake at 450 degrees for 12-15 minutes. Cool. No matter how much you handle this dough, it will always be flaky, tender and delicious!
