CURRANT BREAD 
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
1/8 tsp. salt
6 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 cup currants
2 eggs, well beaten
1/4 cup milk

Cream together flour, salt and butter. Stir in baking powder and currants. Add eggs and milk. Turn into an oiled 8x4-inch pan.

Bake at 350°F for 45 to 60 minutes.
