SHEPHERD'S PIE 
2 lbs. ground chuck
2 lg. onions, chopped
2 tbsp. butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
Pepper to taste
Flour
Mashed potatoes
1 egg, beaten
Paprika

Saute chopped onions in large skillet in butter. When golden add beef, brown and break up lumps. Add garlic, cloves, ginger, Worcestershire and simmer 15 to 20 minutes. If there is a lot of juice add a little flour to thicken. Pour into oven proof casserole, top with mashed potatoes, brush top with beaten egg and run a fork over top to decorate, sprinkle with paprika. Bake at 350 degrees until top is golden brown.
