PUKA CAKE 
1 pkg. yellow cake mix
4 eggs
3/4 c. liquid shortening
1 (3 oz.) pkg. lemon flavored Jello
3/4 c. pineapple juice
2 c. confectioners' sugar
1/4 c. pineapple juice

Combine cake mix, eggs, shortening, 3/4 cup pineapple juice and Jello. Beat 2 minutes with electric mixer. Pour into greased 9 x 13 inch cake pan and bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes. While cake is baking, make a glaze by mixing sugar with remaining 1/4 cup pineapple juice.

Immediately after removing cake from oven, using a cooking fork or ice pick, poke holes throughout, the more the better. Stir glaze and pour over hot cake. Let cool 2-3 hours. Store cake covered, it will be moist and luscious for several days. It's actually better the second day.
