BASIC CHEESE BALL 
1 lb. cheddar cheese, grated
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 tbsp. garlic salt
1/2 c. finely chopped pecans
1 tbsp. Tabasco sauce

Blend cheddar cheese and cream cheese. Add other ingredients and mix well. Shape into a ball and roll in paprika. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Serves 15 to 20.

VARIATION: Eliminate cheddar cheese and Tabasco sauce; add 1/2 pound package Velveeta cheese and 1 or 2 teaspoons Durkee's sauce.
