POUND CAKE 
5 eggs
3 c. Swan's Down cake flour
1 c. milk
2 3/4 c. sugar
2 sticks whipped butter
1 c. Crisco
2 tsp. vanilla

Cream sugar, butter and Crisco. Add 1 egg at a time, beating each one well. Add vanilla. Alternate milk and flour. Pour in a well-greased and floured tube cake pan. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. (Do not preheat oven; start in a cool oven.)
