POUND CAKE 
1 c. Crisco, solid
3 c. sugar
3 c. Swans Down cake flour
1 tsp. lemon flavoring
1 stick butter
6 eggs, separated
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring

Cream Crisco, butter and sugar. Separate egg yolks and whites. Add yolks to creamed mixture; mix well. Add milk and flour alternately and mix well. Then add vanilla and lemon flavoring mix.

Beat egg whites in separate bowl until stiff. Gently fold into cake batter. Put in tube pan and bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes and enjoy plain or with strawberries and whip cream.
