DEVILED CRAB CASSEROLE | |
1 stick butter 1 lg. onion 1 bunch green onions 5 ribs celery 1 lb. lump crabmeat 2 eggs 1 slice bread 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 2 tbsp. chopped parsley Salt & red pepper to taste Buttered bread crumbs Chop onion and celery very fine. Saute in butter in heavy pan until soft. Add crabmeat and heat. Beat eggs and add bread that has been soaked in water and squeezed. Beat together; then add to crab meat. Add all other ingredients, except bread crumbs. Heat thoroughly. Place in buttered casserole or individual shells. Top with buttered bread crumbs. Bake about 20 minutes in 350 degree oven (longer if needed to brown bread crumbs). Excellent to freeze before baking. Serves 4. |
