DILLED GREEN BEANS 
3 lb. fresh tender green beans
1/2 c. chopped fresh dill
2 cloves garlic, peeled & halved
2 c. water
2 c. vinegar
4 tbsp. salt
4 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper

Prepare beans, leave whole parboil 5-10 minutes, covered, until crispy tender, then cool in ice water, pack in pint jars and add 2 tablespoons dill and 1/2 clove garlic to each jar. Heat vinegar, water, salt, sugar and cayenne to boiling and pour over beans to cover and seal. Store in cool place. Chill before serving.
