No Yeast Pizza Dough

Honestly speaking, this really is ONE of the easiest, NOT THE easiest, recipes. And it is very tasty. The only recipe I know of that's easier is this: 2 cups of Bisquick, 1 tsp. salt, 1 tsp. pepper, and 1 cup of SINK hot water. That's it. Just mix it up, kneed it on a floured surface, and you're ready to go. But yes, the recipe above is very easy as well.

Very easy recipe. I baked the crust for a bit before adding the toppings. I would suggest rolling the dough out as thin as you can because it is dense. Also, spread something on the crust to make it turn golden, otherwise it will be white.

At first, I thought it wouldn't turn out right because of how dense the dough was; but it was actually really good!

I love to bake especially with my kids and they just love pizza but I don't like to buy store pizzas so I rather have homemade and this website has all the recipes I want and need.

I thought this was quite nice, especially given the short ingredient list and simple preparation. It'll never be confused with a real pizzeria's crust, but I've definitely had a lot worse. I used olive oil instead of vegetable, and started with only a half a cup of water, sprinkling in more as I needed it. I'm fairly sure I used a bit less than the 3/4 cup called for, but the consistency was good. I rolled it out pretty thin and had enough for 2 good sized pizzas. It was crunchy round the outside (I didn't spread sauce all the way to the edge) and just a tiny bit cakey in the center, but then that's kinda how I like it. Baked at 400 for about 5 minutes before adding sauce, just with a sprinkle of garlic powder and a bit more olive oil. Added sauce, cheese, and a boatload of raw veggies with oregano and baked about 15 more minutes at 425, moving to the top rack for the last few. Was yummy, and the whole process (cooking and eating) took less than an hour. Perfect and easy for a weeknight. Will probably play around with herbs and spices next time, just to see if I can enhance the basic flavor, but overall, it was quite good.

This turned out delicious! I brushed the crust with melted butter and garlic powder, prebaked it for about 4 minutes, then put on pizza sauce, cheese, pepperoni, and pineapple, and cooked it for another 14 minutes.

I expected this to be pretty good according to all the rave reviews, but the 1 tsp of salt made the dough way too salty, and like another reviewer said, the baking soda really made the dough taste funny. I ran out of yeast and have been looking for something like this for a while, but I'm going to stick with the yeast recipes from now on, which after 24 hrs develops an amazing complexity of flavor that just can't be beat. I made a whole pizza with amazing fresh ingredients: organic tomatoes, fresh basil, feta cheese, fresh mozerella, and salami, and ended up scraping off the ingredients and chucking the crust. Really sad right now because the pizzas I've been making have tasted amazing, and so I opted for the better ingredients only to have wasted an entire pizzas worth.

This dough tastes a lot better if you add some garlic powder and Italian seasoning to the mix as you knead it- really takes the flour or baking soda taste out of it and replaces it with a refreshing Italian herb punch!

Just made a cheese and bacon pizza using this recipe, it was delicious. All I can say is don't go in expecting a normal pizza base, it's not the same taste as a normal pizza base but I still think it's very nice.
