BAVARIAN PORK & KRAUT 
6 loin pork chops or 2 lbs. spare ribs
2 apples, peeled, thinly sliced
12 oz. beer
2 lbs. sauerkraut
1 tsp. caraway seeds

Trim fat from chops, brown in frying pan. Place kraut in strainer, rinse in cold water, drain well. Place in baking dish. Mix with caraway seeds and place sliced apples on top. Put chops on top of apples. Pour off fat from frying pan, stir in beer, heat slowly scraping brown bits off bottom of pan, until boiling. Pour over chops and cover dish. Bake in 350 degree oven for 1 1/2 hours.
