KIELBASA AND KRAUT 
1 can (1 lb. 11 oz.) sauerkraut, drained
1 tsp. basil
1/2 tsp. celery seeds
1 kielbasa or Polish sausage (about 1 lb.)
3 tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 c. hot water

Mix sauerkraut with basil and celery seeds in a 6-cup baking dish. Make deep cuts, 1 inch apart, in sausage; push down into the sauerkraut mixture to cover half way. Dissolve brown sugar in hot water in a 1-cup measuring cup; drizzle over sausage and sauerkraut; cover and bake in moderate oven at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until sausage is heated through and sauerkraut is tender. May be served as a main dish, as a side dish or in hot dog or brat buns as a sandwich.
