APRICOT BREAD 
2 3/4 c. sifted self-rising flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
3/4 c. sugar
1 c. buttermilk
1 slightly beaten egg
3 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 1/2 c. dried apricots, uncooked, cut into strips

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and lightly dust with flour a bread loaf pan. Sift dry ingredients into mixing bowl. Add buttermilk combined with egg. Add melted butter and mix thoroughly. Fold in pecans and apricots. Bake for 55 to 60 minutes.
