WHOLE WHEAT APPLE BREAD | |
3 c. whole wheat flour 2 c. brown sugar 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. salt 1 1/4 c. oil 2 - 3 eggs, depending on size 2 c. chopped, peeled, tart apples 1/2 c. chopped nuts In large bowl stir together first 5 dry ingredients. Add oil, eggs, apples and nuts and combine thoroughly. Batter is stiff. Turn into 2 (8 x 4 inch) loaf pans or approximately 5 small pans. Bake at 325 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes for small pans and 60 to 75 minutes for larger loaves. Times vary greatly with different ovens. A silver knife will come out clean when the bread is done. |
