PERSIMMON BREAD 
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. allspice
1/4 tsp. salt
2 beaten eggs
1/4 c. melted shortening
2 c. persimmon pulp (add soda to pulp)
2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. raisins
1 c. walnuts
Candied fruit (opt.)

Bake in lined loaf pan at 350 degrees for 1/2 hour. Then at 300 degrees for 45 minutes more. Yield: 2 loaves.
