HARVARD BEETS 
1 #2 can beets, diced or sliced
1/4 c. cold water
2 1/2 tsp. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. vinegar
Liquid from beets
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. butter
1/4 tsp. pepper
Dash of pepper

Mix all ingredients except beets and place on fire. Stir constantly until mixture boils and thickens. Add beets and heat through. 6-8 servings.
