HARVARD BEETS 
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1/3 c. sugar
1/4 c. vinegar
1/4 c. water
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1 can beets

Mix all ingredients except beets together. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently. Add beets. Heat thoroughly. Serves 4 to 5.
