EGGNOG CAKE 
1 pkg. yellow cake mix
1 c. Dairy Fresh or canned eggnog
1/4 c. vegetable oil
3 lg. eggs
2 tbsp. rum or 1 tsp. rum extract
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In large mixing bowl, combine cake mix, eggnog, oil, eggs, rum and nutmeg. Beat at medium speed 3 minutes. Bake in tube pan per instructions on cake mix box.

CREAM CHEESE FROSTING: In small mixing bowl, beat 1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese, softened, until fluffy. Gradually beat in 1 (1 lb.) package confectioners' sugar. Add 1 1/2 teaspoons eggnog, 1/2 teaspoon at a time and a few drops of yellow food coloring. Cover top and sides of cake.

i give this 5 stars. eggnog is my daughters favorite flavor. we saved a can from christmas because she wanted an eggnog cake for her birthday on may 31st. made this, minus the rum (i used vanilla) and it is DELISH! made a buttercream using eggnog instead of cream & WOW! this will be her annual cake from now on. if you like eggnog you'll LOVE this!

Omg this is so DELISH! I wish I can give it more stars, absolutely yummiest spin I've put on a yellow cake box mix. I added just a bit of cinnamon as well and vanilla replaced the rum for a pg version.
