FUDGE 
2 c. sugar
1/4 lb. butter
1/2 c. white syrup
1/2 c. Pet milk
1 1/2 sq. Baker's bitter chocolate
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. nuts

Cook sugar, butter, syrup and milk to soft ball stage. Remove from heat. Add chocolate and vanilla. Beat. Add nuts. Beat until thick. Drop in spoonfuls onto waxed paper. Can be poured into buttered dish and cut in squares.
