BAKED DOVES 
8-10 doves
Flour, salt, and pepper
6 tbsp. butter, divided
2 tbsp. flour
2/3 c. canned chicken broth or stock
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. onion juice

Dust doves with seasoned flour. Melt 4 tablespoons butter in a skillet. Place doves, breast side down, in skillet and brown on both sides. Remove doves from skillet and place in a deep casserole.

Melt 2 more tablespoons butter in skillet and stir in flour. Add chicken broth gradually, stirring constantly. Cook for a few minutes and then stir in Worcestershire sauce and onion juice. Salt and pepper this gravy to taste.

Pour gravy over doves; cover casserole and bake in a preheated 325 degree oven for about 1 hour or until tender. Baste frequently with sauce, adding more broth if needed.
