BEER BREAD 
3 c. flour
4 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. sugar
1 can beer

Mix all ingredients and put in greased bread pan. Put oven on warm 15 minutes, then turn to 325-350 degrees for 30 minutes. Butter top when you take loaf out of oven.

You may substitute 3 cups self-rising flour for the flour, baking powder, and salt. You may also substitute 2 1/2 cups white flour and 1/2 cup whole wheat flour for the 3 cups flour above.
