4 c. flour 1 lb. sweet butter 3 eggs 2 1/2 c. sugar 1 lb. ground nuts of your choice 1 bottle liqueur, apricot or peach 1 shot creme de menthe May substitute with mix extract.) Preheat oven 350 degrees. Mix flour and butter (like pie dough). Add sugar, nuts, 2 eggs and creme de menthe. Mix lightly. Divide in half. Spread 1/2 into ungreased pan with fingers. Spread on liqueur. Roll other 1/2, cut into strips to make lattice by criss crossing strips. With 3rd egg, take egg white only. Brush on top of the lattice. Bake at 350 degrees approximately 30-35 minutes or until golden brown. "Enjoy!" |
