PASTRY COFFEE CAKE | |
1 c. flour 1/2 c. butter 2 1/2 tbsp. water 1 c. water 1/2 c. butter 1 c. flour 1 tsp. vanilla 3 eggs Mix first 3 ingredients like pie crust. Pat onto cookie sheet in 2 long strips 4 inches wide. Heat to boiling the cup of water and the butter. Dump in flour. Remove from heat and beat until smooth. Add one egg at a time, beating after each addition. Add vanilla and beat until smooth and shiny. Spread on top of strips. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes to 1 hour. Cool and frost with butter cream frosting. Melts in your mouth! |
