“RED CANDY APPLES” IS IN:

RED CANDY APPLES 
8 to 10 medium apples
Popsicle sticks
1 cup sugar
1 cup light corn syrup (Karo)
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup red cinnamon candies (Red Hots)

Put sticks in apples. Boil remaining ingredients to hard crack stage (250-266°F on candy thermometer).

Quickly dip apples in syrup. Put on greased waxed paper and cool.

Cooks Note: Use of a candy thermometer is recommended.

Makes 8 to 10 red candy apples.
