SIMPLE WAY TO CANDY ORANGE PEEL 
peels from 4 oranges
1 cup water, divided
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup sugar
2 tbsp. light corn syrup (Karo)

Peel oranges with a sharp knife. Cut peels into quarters. Scrape off all excess white portion and membrane from orange peels.

Place rack in pressure cooker. Add 1/2 cup water, salt and orange peels; cook 6 minutes at 15 pounds pressure. Cool.

Cut peels in 1/4-inch strips. Combine remaining ingredients in cooker; bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Add peels; simmer uncovered for 12 minutes. Cool peels in syrup.

When cool, reheat just enough to loosen peels. Drain strips on cake rack.

Roll in granulated sugar; spread out to dry.
