My grandma taught me how to make this. Very good, cheap and easy to make. We use for holidays.

We have handed down this recipe for Christmas for 4 generations...the only thing I do different is to triple the recipe and my Mom & I started dividing it up and adding a lot of green food coloring to half and red food coloring to the other half...makes it look much more festive for Christmas.

My Grandmother made this exact recipe every Christmas for my Grandfather and family/friends since the Great Depression. She never wrote it down an lead the family to believe she created this recipe. She taught me how to make it always eye balling an I've never used measuring cups or spoons. The last 8 years of her life the whole family thought she was still the one making it. She chucked an winked at me. I feel blessed for what she taught me.
