1 stick butter
2 eggs
1 c. sugar (I use 3/4)
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
3 lg. very ripe bananas, mashed
3/4 c. sour cream
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. finely ground nuts

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs. Combine baking soda with sour cream. Add sour cream mixture to butter-sugar mixture. Combine flour and baking powder and add to above mixture. Add mashed bananas and nuts and vanilla. Bake in a tube pan at 350 degrees for 45 to 55 minutes. Test to see if done. Decorate with sliced bananas on frosting.

Frost with Cream Cheese Frosting: I use 8 ounces cream cheese and add 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar; blend until smooth.
