FRENCH FRIED ONION RING 
Buttermilk
Vidalia onions, lg.
Flour
Cooking oil or shortening

Slice onions and separate into rings. Cover with buttermilk and allow to stand for 1 hour. Put flour in a plastic or paper bag. Add onion rings, inflate bag, and shake until rings are coated with flour. Fry in hot grease and drain on paper towels.
