BUTTER PIE CRUST COOKIES 
1 c. butter
3 c. flour

Rub together as you do for pie crust.

1 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten lightly

Add sugar to beaten egg.

1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine the two mixtures; mix well. Roll out thin - it is important that you use a pastry cloth if possible. Cut into desired shapes. Bake in 400 degree oven a few minutes and watch closely.
