MOM'S BAKED BREADED PORK CHOPS 
4 to 6 pork chops (bone-in) or boneless pork loin chops, 1/2-inch thick
2 cups crushed cracker crumbs
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
3 tbsp. paprika
2 tsp. sugar
2 tsp. onion
1/4 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
salt and pepper
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil

Sprinkle pork chops lightly with salt and pepper.

Combine remaining ingredients in a large plastic bag or bowl with lids. Add pork chops and shake.

Bake at 350°F for 1 hour on a shallow sided baking sheet (like a cookie sheet) or until pork chops are tender and juices no longer run pink when poked with a fork.

I changed the cracker crumbs to Italian Bread Crumbs, and used garlic pepper. The mixture makes enough coating for well more than 6 pork chops, I am thinking that it would do 10 without any problem. They smell great and taste delicious.

I used half saltines and half Ritz crackers to make a cup or so of the bread crumbs and then I eyeballed everything else based on the recipe amounts. I also turned up the temp to 375°F and these were perfectly done in 35 minutes; the family loved them and this will go on our dinner rotation!

I made these pork chops for my family tonight. I got mixed reviews but for me personally I hated it the only flavor you can taste is the paprika. Then the breading wasn't crispy at all, more like a mush. However the pork chops were very tender just wish it had a better taste.

This is a great recipe but it could be fine-tuned. First of all it makes MUCH TOO MUCH coating for 4-6 chops. I'm cutting all the amounts by 2/3rds and I'm STILL throwing some away. You could bread 15 or 20 pork chops with this amount!
One other note: The recipe calls for an astonishingly HUGE amount of paprika! You may as well call it paprika-coated pork chops! Cut THAT by a third even if you keep all the other amounts the same.

Made this recipe this evening. It was so flavorful, tasty, just good overall. Really easy also. One comment is that I had so much breading mix left over. Next time I make it I will cut the recipe in half. I also made 7 pork chops with this recipe. Really really liked this recipe. My 4 yr old even ate it and he never eats anything. :)

You might want to bake the breaded chops for at least five minutes longer to make sure they are not still crunchy (uncooked).

I made these pork chops tonight, 8 of them and there was plenty of the breading mixture to go around, I'll maybe make half the amount next time. These were the hit at dinner tonight. They were moist and tender and the breading was nice and crispy. 350°F for a little over an hour! I am going to make these again for sure. Nice change from my regular recipe. Thanks so much! I am in the process of making this and was wondering what the olive oil is for? From reading the directions I would think it gets mixed into the dry ingredients...anyone know the answer to this?

"Combine remaining ingredients" includes the oil. So add the oil to the bag or bowl and coat your chops.

This is a new favorite in my house! The chops were SO moist, and flavorful. I made 7 of them, and had plenty of the coating. I did cut the paprika in half, we have 5 yr old twins in the house, and I didn't want them to be too spicy. Had one left over chop today, that went into a very tasty pork chop sandwich for my lunch ;-)
