LONE STAR CASSEROLE 
2 lb. ground meat
4 cloves garlic
2 tsp. butter
2 sm. cans tomato sauce
Salt & pepper to taste
1 tsp. sugar
8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
4 green onions, chopped
1 c. sour cream
2 c. grated sharp cheddar
1 sm. can mushrooms
8 oz. pkg. noodles, cooked

Saute ground meat and garlic for 20 minutes, add tomato sauce and simmer 15 minutes more. Add slat, pepper and sugar. Combine cream cheese, onions and sour cream. Alternate layers of noodles with rest of mixture in 10 x 14 inch casserole dish, starting with 1/3 of ground meat mixture and end with ground meat. Add cheese and mushrooms. Bake at 300 degrees for 30 minutes.
