CHOCOLATE CARAMEL NUT CAKE | |
1 (18.5-ounce) package Betty Crocker SuperMoist German chocolate cake (or any other brand with pudding in the mix) 1 14 ounce bag of caramels 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter 1/3 cup milk 1 cup chopped pecans 3/4 cup milk chocolate morsels 1. Wash and cut fresh strawberries. (Depends on size of pan and how thick you want strawberries. I used 3/4 of a half flat). Put in a bowl and add desired amount of sugar. Set in refrigerator until almost ready to serve. 2. Take graham crackers and line bottom of the pan that you wish to use. (You can use one or two layers of graham crackers depending on how much crust you like and how high your dessert is going to be. I used one layer.) 3. Take Jell-O instant cream cheese pudding. (Number of boxes depends on how big pan is and how thick you want it. I used 5 small boxes.) Mix according to pie filling directions on box. Spoon out over the graham crackers. Put in refrigerator. 4. Just before serving take a drain spoon or colander and drain strawberries. Spread strawberries over pudding and graham cracker mixture. (FYI, juice off strawberries makes a wonderful strawberry tea or strawberry Kool-Aid.) 5. Top with cool whip (One 12 ounce container) and chocolate fudge magic shell. Chill to harden magic shell. Slice and serve. |
