NORWEGIAN GOLD CAKE 
1/2 lb. butter
1 1/3 c. flour
5 eggs
1 1/3 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. almond extract
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

Beat butter and flour for 5 minutes at low speed. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Mix baking powder into sugar and add gradually to mixture. Add extracts. Beat 2 more minutes and pour into ungreased tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour. When cool, sprinkle with confectioners' sugar or glaze cake.
