“CHOCOLATE COVERED APPLES” IS IN:

CHOCOLATE COVERED APPLES 
8 large Granny Smith apples, stems removed
8 wooden Popsicle sticks
1 1/3 cups confectioners' sugar
1/2 cup Hershey's baking cocoa
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 cup Hershey's semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips

COATING SUGGESTIONS:

2 cups chopped Hershey's vanilla milk chips
chopped nuts
chopped candy pieces
melted caramel

Wash and dry apples. Insert Popsicle stick into stem end of each apple. Place on waxed paper lined tray.

Combine confectioners' sugar, cocoa and oil in glass bowl; mix well. Add chocolate chips. Microwave on High for 1 minute; mix well. Microwave for 15 to 30 seconds if necessary to melt.

Twirl apples in melted chocolate. Tap sticks on side of bowl to remove any excess. Return apples to tray. Let stand 5 minutes.

Roll in vanilla chips, nuts, chopped candy pieces or drizzle with melted caramel.

Makes 8 apples.
