CHOCOLATE CARAMEL APPLES 
6 wooden skewers or ice cream sticks
6 med. to sm. apples
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/4 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 tbsp. water
1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels

Insert skewers in stem end of each apple. Divide nuts into 6 mounds on wax paper.

Heat chocolate chips, water and caramels over low heat. Dip each apple into chocolate mixture, spooning mixture over apple until completely coated. Roll each in nuts. Let stand until coating is firm. Makes 6 apples.
